Really enjoyed a winter week at 47 Westgate. The flat is beautifully kept and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect for the beach, shops, station and golf courses. The kitchen is very well equipped and the utility room and work space are both very handy. Definitely deserves the 5 star rating! Jan 2022

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 47 Westgate which is perfectly located for all North Berwick amenities and the surrounding area. The accommodation is fabulous with lovely furnishings which made our stay extremely comfortable.
The garden is well maintained with plenty space to sit and enjoy.

Four of us stayed at 47 Westgate for a week in June and found the apartment to be extremely well equipped, comfortable and spacious. The utility room was an added bonus. The apartment is situated very close to the railway station, the shops, beach and golf courses. As the weather was fine, we were able to make use of the lovely shared garden. Sheila has thought of everything to make the apartment a home away from home.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in 47 Westgate apartment. This was absolutely the best accommodation we found in North Berwick (we tried many other options in the past years).
Spacious rooms, well appointed kitchen, 2 bathrooms and also a laundry room.
Everything was perfectly clean. The location is unbeatable.
All this added to the kindness of the host made our stay wonderful.

Have just returned from our first visit to North Berwick and what a lovely place. Friends of ours had recommended 47 Westgate and I'm glad they did. The property deserves it's 5 start rating from the Scottish Tourist Board as the property is such a high standard. Good sized rooms, lovely interior and a fully equipped kitchen. Loved the lounge with its bay window which let in lots of light even in a dreich day.
The property is placed in a great location only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and shops and with good restaurants nearby.
If you are with a young family worth a trip to East Link Farm and Foxlake Adventures.

As a perfect start and very hospitable touch on arrival a little welcome tray was waiting in the really well equipped kitchen ( we happily found an opportunity to also make use of the Champagne glasses 😊 ).
This pleasantly comfortable home away from home is just a short stroll away from the beach, North Berwick Golf Club, the main station and all the shops and restaurants.
Located on the 1st floor, the flat's large alcove windows in the lounge will allow you to enjoy a cup of tea whilst watching North Berwick's life passing by below whereas the main bedroom ( ensuite bathroom ) and spacious kitchen / dining area both boast views over the lovely backyard gardens.
All amenities provided ( including the utility room ) are matching the 5-star rating.

We had a lovely stay at 47 Westgate. The apartment is fab & has everything a young family would need & more!! Child friendly yet also with a touch of luxury. Amazing views & some lovely quiet spaces too. Local amenities are just a few steps away, the beach is just across the road. Local coffee shops & restaurants are great & a visit to the fab ice cream shop is a must!! We stayed during the Edinburgh festival & the local "Fringe at the sea festival was also on. Accessing Edinburgh for a day out is so easy, 5 min walk to train station & just 30min journey. We also took the kids to the fab East Links farm park just outside Dunbar. It's not a cheap option £45 for a family of 4. But you can spend the whole day there as there is so much to see. Our boys had great fun!! Overall we had a brilliant time, 3 years in a row now & we will definitely return. Thank you David & Shelia 😃 For making our stay so welcoming.

We stayed at Westgate 47 last week and what a wonderful high standard apartment it is. Nice bedrooms with comfortable beds and two good bathrooms. Great kitchen with all the amenities needed which is often lacking in self-catering accommodation, lovely personal touch everywhere. For us, the apartment was ideally located, as we walked with our golf sets to the North Berwick West Links to play golf. A walk at the beautiful beach is within few minutes distance. All services, restaurants, shops etc. are close by at High Street of North Berwick. If you want to take the train to Edinburgh, the railway station is within a walking distance. Two minutes from the gorgeous shops, beach and North Berwick station – which takes you direct to Edinburgh Waverley in just half an hour – staying at No 47 Westgate gave us the best of all worlds. The quality of the flat, its furnishings and finishing touches, really deserve the 5* rating and show an attention to detail which extends to David and Sheila’s communication ahead of our visit, making the process of booking the holiday and planning our stay so easy and efficient. Yet another fabulous week at number 47. Wonderful accommodation and no need to use the car to access the town's restaurants and attractions. Great to relax in the south facing garden when the sun shines. We'll be back for another fabulous break.

Been going to North Berwick for 40 years and have never stayed in better accommodation. Recommended it to my brother and parents and now they all stay here every year. I think between us we had most of September booked!
The flat is ideally located, immaculate and deserving of it's 5 star rating. David & Sheila always leave a personal touch for their guests - I'm assuming not just us.
Can't recommend this property highly enough and will be booking for another week next year.

Fifth or sixth stay at 47 Westgate and North Berwick feels more and more like home. Lovely well appointed apartment that is our home from home. Comfortable and with all the essentials you would need, Westgate is just the right distance to the great restaurants in the town. We hope to be back many times.

we had a wonderfull Holiday from the 5 th until the 12 th of September 2015.
Starting with a great Football-Match with at the end both sides of football-fans applauding eathother. 6 days great of golf and really fantastic weather.
Your 5 star Apartment made us warm wellcome after each golfing day and we had no wishes left, everything was very perfect.

An artists dream looking out of the first floor lounge bay window, watching the golfers getting ready for their game at North Berwick, and tourists coming off the train and walking down the High Street. This apartment is in an ideal situation, everything close at hand, location, location, plus a number of good restaurants within easy walking distance.
The flat itself is furnished to a very high standard and fully deserves 5 star rating. It is nice to see buildings like this being listed of architectural interest, keeping it's integrity with an abundance of quality fittings.
We loved every minute of our stay, and look forward to our return visit next year.
Incidentally we decided to take our holiday using public transport, the convenience of trains and buses worked brilliantly.

Very comfortable beds with unusually luxurious quality of towels and bedding for a holiday rental. It was a real "home from home" with everything we needed and it was so useful to have a (again, good quality) high chair and travel cot for our baby. Spotlessly clean and well kept. I would love to return for another great family holiday.
The flat was in a superb location for everything North Berwick has to offer. Beach shops and eateries. Very handy for the train to Edinburgh for trips to the city.

We found North Berwick was ideal for our winter break and 47 Westgate was just perfect. The flat was beautiful and its location is excellent. We spent the week going for bike rides, runs and walks along the beach, and warmed ourselves up by sampling just some of the many pubs, cafes and restaurants, not to mention a few quiet nights in front of the fire. We'll be coming again soon!!!
